Why lockdown is wrong

We should not be obsessed with "safety". Many sports and acitivities have risks but we still enjoy them because life is short and other aspects of life matter too. If we do a cost-benefit analysis, it's clear lockdowns make no sense.

Lockdown doesn't save lives

A main narrative governments and propaganda media is pushing is that "lockdown saves lives" but it simply has no effect on the situation.

13 months of evidence shows that that lockdowns have no positive impact on reducing deaths. In fact, there seems to be no correlation between the lockdown restrictions and the death rates.

Cost

Lockdowns are bad for mental and physical health. When China locks down the Wuhan city with 20m population back in 2020.2, most people with common sense was shocked by that. Due to various reasons, lockdown has become the de facto measure since then.

  • Economic disaster

Around 70 million people will fall into extreme poverty.

Many people will not want to go back to work anymore because 1. scared of the virus 2. parents taking care of children at home 3. the government virus relief makes working less attractive.

  • Food shortage

Around 100 million people will experience food shortage because of lockdowns.

  • Disrupted healthcare costs lives

Around 2 million infants under 5 will die because of disrupted healthcare services. People with other infectious disease will not get timely treatment.

In Alberta, in March 2020, 22,000 surgeries have been canceled and many people have died from that.
